When Billy, a troubled young man, comes to private eye Cormoran Strike's office to ask for his help investigating a crime he thinks he witnessed as a child, Strike is left deeply unsettled.     I downloaded this book a week ago and started reading and enjoying it, but about 2 days ago it stopped loading when I wanted to read it and showed me an error message saying that the ebook format was not supported. This doesn’t make sense as it was working the days before on the same phone. I request a refund!

    I am in awe of RG's writing. The story never wanes, and the care and crafting of the characters is masterful. Like others I couldn't put Lethal White down. Do yourself a favour and read this and the other Strike novels NOW!!!

    I looked forward to this coming out and,, I wasn’t disappointed. Another really good story from JK’s mind. I had to purposely slow down as I didn’t want to blast through it but rather, savour each page. I so thoroughly enjoyed this latest yarn of the detecting duo. I so hope that JK will work on another of this series. Maybe next year hopefully??

  • Good plot but slightly too descriptive

    I’ve followed JKR in all her writings, starting as a obsessed fan of Harry Potter, and enjoyed all her books. Although I always liked this one, probably is my least favourite. Her descriptive language was a bit much sometimes, boring me a little and making me think ‘get on with it!’. But otherwise, fantastic twist in the plot and loved how the complicated relationship between Robin and Strike manifested even more.
